The Broome County Humane Society & Relief Association, based in Binghamton, NY has been operating in a facility that really has been outgrown. They are pushing aggressively towards a new shelter and Pedaling4Paws encourages you to help them!
Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY
Pedaling4Paws has never actually visited the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY in person. They always met us at Welch Allyn, the corporation based in Skaneateles, NY that supported P4P and the shelter.
Jefferson County SPCA
Based in Watertown, NY, the Jefferson County SPCA is a relatively small main location with a storefront additional location. They do good work and Pedaling4Paws has visited on several occasions. Support them – they’re good people!
Spay-Neuter NOW
Based in Northern New York in the St. Lawrence Valley, Spay-Neuter NOW is actually a mobile service that supports local shelters as well as local residents who want to have their pets spayed or neutered.
St. Lawrence Valley SPCA
Based in Ogdensburg, NY, the St. Lawrence Valley SPCA was often the last shelter on the trip from PA to Canada and they do great work. They’ve been in the area since 1910 and offer a tremendous number of services and have been helping people give forever homes to cats and dogs for a long time. Show your support!
Helping Hounds Dog Rescue
This is another animal rescue that was never visited while on a ride (largely because of its location on the east side of Syracuse whereas the rides generally stayed west of Syracuse), but don’t think that means they aren’t a worthy shelter. They are!
