Riding in the Sunshine State
Imagine rolling past beaches and palm trees in mid-70’s to low-80’s temperatures with your only concern being if you have enough sunscreen on and whether you can help the local animal shelters as much as you’d like. That pretty much summarizes the Pedaling4Paws Florida rides! In 2015, the Pedaling4Paws Florida route was a 570 mile loop that started in the southern part of the east coast, rolled between West Palm Beach and Fort Myers, then north to the Sarasota / Tampa area, back east through the Orlando / Kissimmee / St. Cloud area to Melbourne and the back south along the east coast to Fort Lauderdale. After this inaugural trip, Pedaling4Paws is pleased to announce that future events will have an east coast event (2 or 3 days), a west coast event (1 or 2 days) to allow local cyclists and animal lovers the opportunity truly focus on their local shelters. Shelter Visits
Visiting shelters is part of the Pedaling4Paws experience. Our routes are specifically created to ensure we visit select local shelters. The shelters are selected against a variety of criteria including and most importantly that the shelter is doing everything they can to help get or keep animals healthy and to find forever homes for them. Here are a list of the shelters supported in Florida. If you have a favorite shelter that you would like us to support, contact us to let us know more about the shelter and to see if we can include them in the list of supported shelters!
